Discover the immune-boosting power of Desert Parsley: A Native American remedy for flu, viruses and infections

During the Spanish flu, a doctor noticed there was not a single flu-related death in the Washoe Native American tribe due to the use of Desert Parsely. Traditionally one of the most important medicinal plants used by several Native American tribes, Desert Parsley (Lomatium Dissectum) has strong immune system enhancing properties comparable to some of the more popular herbal remedies such as Echinacia and Astragalus and is often used to fight off bacteria, viruses and fungi infections. Lomatium adopted the name Indian Consumption Plant because of its effectiveness against tuberculosis.

Phytochemicals found in Lomatium have been shown to have the ability to inhibit viruses from replicating. Studies have shown these phytochemicals to be effective against DNA and RNA viruses. Practitioners of natural medicine find Lomatium to be effective for viruses such as Epstein-Barr, flu, common cold, herpes, and Cytomegalvirus.

Lomatium also works well in combination with other medicinal herbs, which broaden its use to help with ailments such as asthma, cough, colds, flu, lung injuries, pneumonia, and urinary tract infections.
